Heartburn Natural Cures

Heartburn, also known as Pyrosis, is a painful or burning sensation in the
esophagus, just below the breastbone usually associated with
regurgitation of gastric acid. The pain often rises in the chest and may
radiate to the neck, throat, or angle of the jaw.

Heartburn is also identified as a cause of chronic cough and may even
mimic asthma.





Limit your Food Intake- Too much food can force stomach acids into the
esophagus. A usual cause of heartburn is overconsumption of food, too
quickly.

Sit Upright, Stand Upright- Reclining, or positioning yourself flat can
disrupt the natural state of stomach acids and can cause heartburn.

Cure Heartburn by Limiting Caffeine- Caffeine can irritate an already
inflamed esophagus. Limit drinks like coffee and some soft drinks.

Eat Light and Healthy- Too much greasy, fried, and fatty food has a
tendency to sit in the stomach for a longer period of time and the result is a
surplus in acid production. Limit fatty meats and dairy products to limit
heartburn attacks.

Diminish Stress to Diminish Heartburn- Stress can cause an increase of
